Praia del Rey is situated less than 1 hours drive north from Lisbon airport, it is also accessible from Porto which takes just over 2 hours by motorway.

Within 15 minutes drive from the villa is the fishing town of Peniche, renowned for its many fish restaurants. Along with it's neighbouring village of Baleal, it is home to some of the best surfing and water sports beaches in Europe. Nearby is the impressive Obidos lagoon which hosts various different watersports.

Also a short drive away is the famous Medieval walled town of Obidos visited by many tourists throughout the year, and the bustling market town of Caldas da Rhaina.

The area along the coast to Lisbon and beyond is home to some of Europes best golf courses, in particular Praia del Rey which has been voted into the top 100 courses of the world and 13th best in Europe by Golf World magazine. Other notable courses include Penha Longa whch has previously hosted the Portuguese open, Quinta de Brincal and Estoril.

The area is now becoming favoured over the Algarve because of the quality of courses, pricing and ease of booking.
